School and university in Agency Life: grades, degrees and exams
Updated October 17, 2026
Education is the quiet engine of a successful life in Agency City. It decides which jobs you can get, how much you earn and even whether you can become mayor. Here is how it works from your first school day to your final exam.

School years

If you start as a child, you go to school every year. Your grades move from year to year: good grades lift your mood, very bad ones can cost you a year. Your parents pay your pocket money, and in your free time you choose hobbies that shape your skills.
At 18 you leave school with a certificate based on your grades. A school certificate is enough for office jobs and for university.
Plan your future as a teenager
From 14 you can choose a career path, and from 15 you can do internships in it, once a year. If you complete two internships, the company can offer you a job when you turn 18. You can change your path, but internships from the old one no longer count.
Night school
Started at 18 or dropped out of school? Night school takes one year, costs €1,500 and gives you the certificate you need for office work and every degree.
Every degree at a glance
All degrees need a school certificate or night school first. While you study, you pay tuition every year, and each degree also trains one of your skills.
| Degree | Years | Cost per year | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Computer science | 3 | €4,000 | Software developer, developer at Agency Scripts, better hacking |
| Business studies | 3 | €4,500 | Manager at Agency Holdings, more profit from your businesses |
| Law | 4 | €5,000 | Lawyer, a big advantage in court |
| Police academy | 2 | €1,000 | Detective |
| Night school | 1 | €1,500 | Office jobs and access to all degrees |
The final exam
At the end of a degree you sit a final exam: six questions about your subject, each with three answers. You need at least four correct answers to pass. If you fail, you study one more year and try again.
Which degree is worth it?
Law costs the most and takes longest, but it leads to the best paid regular job, helps you in court and, together with business studies, is one of the two degrees that let you run for mayor. Computer science is the best choice for a tech career and for hackers. Business studies pays off if you plan to own several shops. Compare all salaries in the career guide.
