Skills in Agency Life: driving, lockpicking, hacking, fighting and charm

Updated October 17, 2026

Five skills decide how good you are at almost everything in Agency City, from flirting to cracking the central bank. Here is what each one does and how to train it.

Agency City

The five skills

Every character has driving, lockpicking, hacking, fighting and charm. Each crime is tied to one of them, many jobs ask for them, and they make minigames easier. Skills go up through training, degrees, jobs and practice.

SkillHelps with
DrivingEscapes from the police, street races, stealing sports cars, smuggling, the cash truck
LockpickingCar break-ins, burglary, the art heist, the diamond exchange, escaping from prison
HackingOnline fraud, stealing company data, the central bank, the casino coup
FightingRobbing a gas station or jeweller, boxing tournaments
CharmFlirting and dating, pickpocketing, blackmail, the mayor's election, appeals in court

Training courses

The fastest way up is a course. Each one can be taken once a year and raises its skill by a few points.

CourseSkillPriceGain
Iron GymFighting€300+2 to 4
Driving safety trainingDriving€800+2 to 5
Practice locksLockpicking€250+2 to 4

Rhetoric courseCharm€500+2 to 4

Degrees and jobs

Degrees and jobs

Studying also trains a skill: computer science improves hacking, law and business studies improve charm, and the police academy improves fighting.

Clothes and style

Charm is not the only thing that matters when you meet people. The clothes you wear give you style, which helps with flirting and job applications. Three clothing shops in the city cover every budget.

Tips

Take every course you can afford early in life, because skills keep their value for decades. Focus on the skills your plan needs: a hacker does not need fighting, a future mayor needs charm 60. And remember that minigames still depend on you: a high skill helps, but a steady hand helps more. More about crime skills in the crime guide.
