Love and marriage in Agency Life: dating, weddings and divorce

Updated October 17, 2026

Love in Agency Life is not left to chance. You find people in the dating app, take them on dates, move in together, propose and start a family. And if things go wrong, there are affairs, crises and divorce lawyers. Here is how it all works.

The dating app

The dating app

In the dating app you choose who you are interested in and see a handful of new profiles every year, each with a job and a personality. Match with someone and start chatting: people in Agency Life reply with their own mood, and your charm and style decide how well a first meeting goes.

The best date spots

Every date costs money and time and raises how much the other person likes you.

Relationship, moving in and proposing

Once the other person likes you enough, you can start a relationship, move in together and eventually propose. Keep spending time together: a neglected partner starts to doubt, and if a crisis is not resolved, they may leave the following year.

The wedding and the prenup

You choose how big the wedding is: a registry office wedding, a celebration or a dream wedding, each with its own cost and effect on mood and respect. At the wedding you agree on a shared surname that your children will carry.

Before the wedding you also decide whether to sign a prenup. With a prenup everyone keeps what they own if you divorce. Without one, your wealth is shared.

Children

Couples can try for a baby or adopt for €8,000. Sometimes twins arrive, very rarely even triplets. Your children grow up with you, and when your character dies, you can continue your story as one of them.

Affairs

You can keep dating while you are in a relationship and turn a match into a secret affair, or even several. Every date and every year there is a chance it comes out, higher with more affairs, longer affairs and if you live together. If your partner finds out, there is a fight and a crisis, and if the relationship was already weak, it is over. In a marriage that means divorce.

Divorce

Divorce is a real process. An amicable divorce is faster and the lawyer is cheaper, but without a prenup a quarter of your clean wealth goes to your partner, and it only works if the relationship is not completely broken. A contested divorce means an expensive lawyer, and the court decides that between a sixth and a third goes to your partner. Charm in court helps. With a prenup, almost nothing changes hands.

Tips

Go on regular dates even after the wedding, sign a prenup if you are the richer one, and think twice about affairs. Expensive dates work faster, but a coffee in the Altstadt is the best value. Read on with family and inheritance.
