Street racing and car tuning in Agency Life

Updated October 17, 2026

Fast cars are more than a status symbol in Agency City. They win races, get you away from the police and help with every crime that involves driving. Here is how racing and tuning work.

Agency City

Street races

With a car from your own garage you can race the city's street racing scene up to twice a year. There is no stake and no betting: the organisers pay prize money to the winner, and the loser goes home empty-handed. It is still illegal, so the prize is dirty money and sometimes the police show up. The race itself is a minigame.

RaceWhat to expect
Backyard sprint400 metres between warehouses, the easiest start
Harbour lapAround the docks at night, tight corners
Mountain roadHairpins above the city
City championshipThe best drivers in town, straight through the city centre

Tuning

In your garage you can tune every car. Each stage costs a share of the car's price.

Revenge race

Revenge race

If you lose a race, you can ask for a rematch once a year by watching a short video. It does not count towards your two races of the year.

Tips

Train driving with the driving safety course, start with the backyard sprint and tune the engine first: it helps with races, police escapes and heists alike. Armour is worth it for big heists. More about escapes in the prison and police guide.
